Facebook Group – Flower Mound Cares
Review from Resident and local Mortgage Lender – Brad Lynch aka Your Mortgage Guy For Life
Flower Mound Cares is a place where, as a member, you can go in and post questions about events in the city of Flower Mound, or initiate discussions. With the sheer number of members eclipsing the 15,000+ mark, no discussion or inquiry appears to go unattended. Typical discussions range from merchant shops breaking ground, like a recent post about Hive Bakery shop that recently announced their opening in a couple of months that received over 57 comments and 17 shares in about 24 hours, to posts about details of current traffic situations in the city, like when we had the wild-fire at 1171 and 377. Now, Flower Mound Cares is not a place to go and advertise your business or sales, but per their “border rules”, they allow a new business to post a one-time introductory post with prior permission from the administrator. The rules under “Important Notice” in the description portion of the site are very clear of how they expect post and comment activity within the group, and though it might seem a little lengthy, it appears to be very well written and the demands are very reasonable.
Flower Mound Strong Opinions
Just like any other social platform where people are free to express themselves, there is a little bit of strong opinion and venting going on, but in my own opinion, it is much more limited than what you might expect in a typical public social forum. Trolling, and over sensitive opinions is a situation that is almost unavoidable in such a format without being so restrictive that you take away the feel that brings the value that has people returning. In only the last 3-4 days that I have scrolled through Flower Mound Cares, there has only been only a couple of situations where there was a post or a comment on a post where someone was posting what I would consider a hypersensitive opinion about a matter, or someone was making stark comments.
Flower Mound Cares – A Great Place For Residents to Check In
Although I have heard of Flower Mound Cares before now, it never crossed my mind until recently to make a regular visit, with the intentions specifically to see what is going on in Flower Mound. I have been pleasantly surprised at the value it brings to me as a citizen to Flower Mound. The majority of the content is information that makes me more aware of what is going on in the city my wife and I raise our daughters in. If there was an event or matter that I wanted to be involved in, and be sure not to miss, being a member of this group and checking in from time to time will be a good reminder and educator for me of what is going on.
Favorite Posts From Flower Mound
One of my favorite posts recently is the recent pictures of deer in people’s yards in some of the outlying properties in Flower Mound. In real-time, as I was writing this, my power went out, and only moments later a post followed that said, “What the what? Power just went off in Stonehill Farms.” Normally I would want to text or call a neighbor, but because I work from home and many do not, this time I would have just had to wait to see if others in Flower Mound had that issue.
